Released alongside the regular version of Blood on the Reik is the special collector's edition. This comes in the form of the actual notebook that the author carried with him throughout his travels in the Empire to record his many experiences.
The landscape book is bound in brown leather. The overlapping front covers are tied together with ribbon, which are held together with a wax seal. On the cover is the icon of Sigmar and the author's monogrammed initials, embossed in gold.
Inside the front cover is a special pocket, which contains four parchments, each with exclusive David Gallagher sketches on, which do not appear in the book.
The book is completely wrapped in a large cloth map of the Empire, which is held in place with a carry strap. This fantastic, completely unique product comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, and is limited to only 300 copies.
The lands of the Empire are savage and wild, and are inhabited by strange folk and untameable beasts. From burgeoning cities to lonely villages, from rivers to mountains, life passes amidst much war and danger for the many and varied denizens of the Old World.
This beautiful book collects together never before published sketches and drawings, detailing the rich and dangerous universe of Warhammer. David Gallagher, who has had such an influence on the imagery of the Empire, and the seminal John Blanche are the artists behind the fantastic pictures in this book, and it serves as a wonderful showcase for their inestimable talent.
To accompany these fabulous pictures is text written by one Tobias Helmgart - scholar, diplomat and gentlemen - who spent his life travelling the length and breadth of the land, creating an invaluable document in words and images about the dangerous land of men, and the beasts that lurk in dark places.
Immerse yourself in his travels in the dark land we loved, and that he called home. |
