Fitting tool, plus 6 small, 16 medium and 4 large base magnets
The guys at GaleForce9 have another ingenious product available for Flames Of War. Battlefront in conjunction with GF9 sees the release of base magnets designed to fit Flames Of War bases.
Base magnets are a great way of holding your forces down during transport, either line your transport box/case with steel paper or use a metal carry box and your teams will miraculously stick and not move, ever during the most vigorous transport.
Now for the ingenious bit, GF9 have made a special tool for lining your pre-cut base magnets up with your base.
The rubberised self-adhesive magnet bases simple stick to the bottom of your Flames Of War bases of your teams and based vehicles. To help with this task the starter pack (AT101) comes with a special fitting tool so you can align you magnet with the base.
Step 1
Peel off the backing paper from the base magnet by simply slipping your finger nail under one corner and peeling it back with your fingers. If this gives you trouble use you model knife blade to lift the paper corner.
Take care not to finger the sticky surface too much as the moisture from your skin may make it less sticky.
Step 2
Line you base magnet with the appropriate space in the tool, sticky side up.
The central gap is for small bases (command, observer, sniper teams etc) aligned along the long edge. The larger space is for medium bases (infantry, weapons and small gun teams etc) aligned along the long edge or for large bases (gun and cavalry teams etc) aligned along the short edge.
Step 3
Grab your team and ensure that the bottom of the base is clear of dust and grit. This will ensure your base magnet sticks properly and flat.
Step 4
Next align the team in the tool gap on top of the base magnet. Once you a happy it is aligned press down to ensure it sticks.
Step 5
Finally just turn the team over and run your thumb over the magnet to ensure it is sticking smoothly.
You team is now ready to stick to you favourite method of steel transport. |
